The 10 Best Coffee Makers for an Airbnb
From french press to auto drip, these are the best coffee makers for an Airbnb or vacation rental property.
Have you ever scrolled through an Airbnb listing and found yourself daydreaming of relaxing mornings as you admire photos of steam rising from a pour over or imagining the afternoon shots of espresso you’ll brew from the fancy machine?
It’s these lifestyle moments that inspire someone to book your property over someone else’s — and it’s exactly why going beyond the Keurig is an inexpensive way to give your Airbnb a boost.
So what are the best coffee makers for an Airbnb? Here’s our list, as well as how to choose them.
What to Consider When Selecting a Coffee Maker for Your Airbnb
Not every coffee maker is right for every Airbnb. Here’s what to consider when selecting one that works for your space.
How many guests do you typically host?
If you have a 5-bedroom property, you need to plan accordingly. One French press probably won’t cut it. But, if you have a one bedroom cottage, a pour over and a moka pot might be plenty (though I always advise having an automatic coffee maker available!).
How much counter space do you have?
I love a fancy Breville espresso maker but, realistically, how much space do you actually have? You don’t want to cut too far into counter space and there are compact models available.
What’s your budget?
There’s practically no limit to how much you can spend on a coffee maker for your Airbnb, but you can also buy a $30 coffee maker that functions well enough.
How Many Different Coffee Makers Should You Have in an Airbnb?
In our Airbnb, we have five different coffee brewing methods. It’s something we love and that we enjoy having when we’re there, and we’ve heard our guests love it, too. But, unless you’ve made that a central part of your getaway experience, it’s probably not necessary to have that many.
At a minimum, for a more lifestyle stay, I would have one automatic method of brewing and one more manual method. That could be a drip coffee maker and a French press, or an espresso machine and a pour over. Give people options, but don’t feel like you need to buy every possible method available.

The 10 Best Coffee Makers for an Airbnb
Without further ado, here are the ten best coffee makers for an Airbnb — almost all of which we can personally vouch for because we either have them in our Airbnb or at home.
This powerful and compact espresso machine is super easy to operate and pulls shots of espresso with crema you’d expect from a barista. We have the Bambino Plus at home and, if you want to splurge a bit more, that one’s worth it for the auto shut off when frothing milk.
When our coffee maker broke and we were waiting on a warranty replacement, we needed something automatic. We ran up to Walmart and this one from Mr. Coffee fit the bill. It’s one of the cheaper models out there, but it feels hefty and has a glass carafe. It works great as a basic drip model.
Let’s be honest, pour over coffee makers look great on Instagram and, for some guests, that’s a high priority. And, for coffee snobs, they make the best coffee. Win-win.
If you want to splurge a bit more on an automatic drip coffee maker, this one conveniently makes everything from one cup to 12 cups with easy. Perfect for that one guest that wants an extra cup of 4 PM coffee.
French press is the ultimate in lazy, indulgent morning brewing methods. It is vacation in coffee form. Having a French press available for guests is a must.
If you’d like to have a slightly more professional looking espresso set up for your guests, but still aren’t quite ready to splurge, this De’Longhi machine is a great entry level espresso machine that’s easy to use.
This is the classic Italian coffee maker. It’s easy to use, strong, and adds a vintage-inspired element to your coffee setup in your Airbnb. I also love the Bialetti Brikka for an even stronger cup of coffee.
This is the Rolls Royce of coffee and espresso makers. If you have a luxury property, this is the one you need — but it’s going to set you back over $2,000. From what I’ve been told, however, once you cross the $800 threshold, you might as well jump all the way up to the Jura (otherwise, stay below $800).
This Hamilton Beach coffee maker is another great 12-cup automatic drip option. It has a single serve option and can be programmed. It’s a straightforward, get the job done coffee maker at a reasonable price.
We love a Breville and we really love that this has a grinder built in. It has that nostalgic barista look, brews beautiful espresso shots with crema, and has a milk frother. This is a great affordable splurge (compared to the Jura) for a luxury space.
